Synchronized Roasting

I like thinking about how all the parts of the meal fit together on the grill.

Here are the parts:

Those are beets.

The theory is that the chicken, potatoes, and beets take a long time to cook.  The salmon and cauliflower take less time.  Also, salmon is probably a nice first course.  So I can put everything but the cauliflower on at once and then replace the salmon (on the grill surface) with the cauliflower when the salmon is done.

Next, I start the fire.
"Hey, I think someone cooked meat on this."

Now we're cookin ... and forgettin to continue with the photos.  The chickcen, salmon, and cauliflower came out good.  I need to remember potatoes do not take as long as a chicken.
